About ZFNZ
The mission of the ZFNZ is to:
“work with the community to sustain Jewish identity, reinforcing relationships with Israel, and to foster a positive understanding of Israel and Zionism.”
About ZFNZ
The ZFNZ has been active in New Zealand since before the establishment of the modern State of Israel and is proud of our contribution to supporting both Israel and the New Zealand Jewish community.
The ZFNZ plays an active role in the community by coordinating several events such as the annual Yom HaShoah and Yom Hazikaron commemoration ceremonies and the annual Yom Ha’atzmaut celebrations.
The ZFNZ also supports the community shlichut programme, March of the Living, Israel programmes for youth, the Jewish youth movements and much more.
We work in partnership with other communal bodies in bringing international speakers to New Zealand, bringing Shoah (Holocaust) survivors to New Zealand to speak to universities, schools and community groups.
We stand with Israel and advocate on her behalf, however we do not represent any particular political party and our members represent all aspects of the Israeli political spectrum.
