10 Things You Need to Know About Limmud NZ


Limmud After Dark: 7.30 pm to late. A smorgasbord of live music including internationally acclaimed artists: featuring Saturday night “Carvin” and  Sunday night Jonathan Besser at Café Shesh Besh... food, films, book clubs, lectures and more– click the link for all the details.

 

 

Entrance: $5 for those who have registration for the same day; $10 for those not already registered.

 


 

 


 

10 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT Limmud NZ

 

 

  1. Limmud NZ 2010 is a series of SIX events from Friday 20th August through to Monday 23rd August. You can come to all, some or just one event.

 

  1. You can register for Limmud NZ 2010 at www.zfnz.org.nz

  1. If you register for the full day of learning on Sunday your kids (5-13) have a free children’s program (educational and fun) and childcare (under 5s).

 

  1. The six events are:

o      Friday night community Shabbat dinner;

o      Saturday night “Limmud after Dark”;

o      Sunday Limmud day 9am-6pm;

o      Sunday 6- 7.30pm Dudi & Maya farewell;

o      Sunday night 7.30pm “Limmud after Dark II”;

o      Monday Limmud day (Kadimah students have their own special school day)

  

  1. The mix of speakers this year is huge – more than 10 international presenters and 20 plus local speakers.

 

  1.  Sessions range from music, photography and films, text study and story telling, cookery, ethical dilemmas, Israel, Tikkun Olam, feminist perspectives and much much more.

 

  1. Limmud NZ is part of the international LIMMUD movement which has changed lives throughout the world.

 

  1. Register for Limmud NZ 2010 before 31st July and save money.  If you cannot pay the full registration fee, talk to us in confidence.
